Very Rev. Yaroslav (Gerald) Sudick has been our pastor at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers since 1990. His guidance and leadership have been a beacon for our church and its congregation. His achievements and involvements, especially in education, continue to benefit our church and community.
 
Fr. Sudick’s lifetime of accomplishment is reflected in the many honors he has received. Among them are Man of the Year from the Yonkers Police Pulaski Association, Teacher of the Year from the Endicott, NY School District and the Chancellor Award for Outstanding Service to the State University of New York. He has also received multiple commendations from SUNY and the Kiwanis Club for his fundraising efforts.
 
Father has also served as Chancellor of the Archdiocese of New York of the Orthodox Church of America.
He was appointed to a five-year term in May 2005 on the Yonkers Board of Education. He was elected in May 2008 as its President.
 
With a long career in education that began as a Russian Language and History Professor in Pennsylvania, Father Sudick expanded his horizons to New York. He holds both New York and Pennsylvania teaching licenses. The United States Department of State appointed him to the US/USSR Foreign Policy Institute and he was a Visiting Lecturer on Foreign Policy at Harvard University. Appointed to the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York at Binghamton, he also served as its chairperson. For 20 years, he taught Social Studies, American History and European History at Union Endicott High School, a public high school near Binghamton, NY.

Father Sudick received his Doctor of Divinity from Boston University, earned a Master of Arts in Russian Studies from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was elected class president.

Jim is a proud husband and father  and prominent attorney in Westchester County. He is a partner in the firm of Bertine Hufnagel. He specializes  in trusts and estates, tax  law, elder law and wills and estates. Come meet Jim every Sunday.

Christopher Nolan, Council Vice President 

Chris, his wife Susanne, and their three beautiful children have been a blessing to Holy Trinity for the past several years. Their enthusiastic support and active involvement in almost every level of church life have been an inspiration and role model for us all.

When he's not at Holy Trinity, Chris is the Manhattan Central Park Conservancy's Vice President for Capital Projects and Chief Landscape Architect. He  is responsible for all capital improvements and technical services in Central Park, including capital planning, project design, public review, construction, historic preservation, conservation, and the maintenance of the Park’s historic structures and infrastructure. In addition, he oversees departmental administration for both Operations and Capital Projects, including procurement, contract management and compliance, and general administration.

Mr. Nolan holds a bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University. He is a registered landscape architect in New York State.

Dasha S. Piwinski

Dasha is our Sunday School Director and a third generation member of Holy Trinity. A Church School teacher with more than 20 years experience, Dasha has been the Director for the last 10 years.  She currently teaches the 4th/5th grade level.  Dasha has arranged for members of our staff to enrich their teaching experience by attending various conferences and seminars devoted to Church School development, including the annual Orthodox Institute held at Antiochian Village in PA.  Establishment of a small library for the students and curriculum development are continuing areas of focus.  

In recent years, the Sunday School has experienced growth in its student population and range of offerings and activities. Blessed with a spacious school building, the Sunday School currently numbers 30+ active students with enthusiastic volunteer teachers and parent volunteers. Classes are offered from Nursery through High School levels.  In addition, routine mini-retreats, an annual Christmas pagent ("Yolka") and periodic trips off-site are offered.

Matushka Valerie Sudick is our Choir Director. Through her leadership and musical talent the choir has grown and continues to undertake the most complex of musical arrangements. The choir sings at all church services, most weddings and funerals and has sung at many outside functions and charitable events. She is the First Lady of our Parish!

Deacon John Eby
Deacon John, a graduate of St. Vladimir's Seminary, was ordained to the Holy Deaconate in 1999 by Bishop Peter. You will see Deacon John at every service assisting Fr. Sudick.  Prior to his ordination, Deacon John had been a Parishioner at Holy Trinity for many years. His friendly and outgoing disposition adds much to our parish and his warmth and caring is greatly appreciated by all Parishoners. Deacon John also participates on the Parish Council.

Reader George Wislocki

Reader George has called Holy Trinity Church home since the beginning. He has held many positions on the Parish Council and currently is the Church Treasurer. He has also been a singer in the Church choir for many years. His strong bass vocal ability adds much to the beautiful sound of all of the exceptional voices that currently make up the Choir.

Reader Robert Piwinski

Reader Bob has been a member of Holy Trinity Church for almost three decades. Over this period he has served in various positions on the Parish Council. He was co-chair of the Centennial Committee and wrote, edited, and published the Centennial Journal. Reader Bob coordinates the Altar Servers with Paul Sulich and Chris Nolan. Currently there are more than 12 active altar servers ranging in age from 7 through adulthood. We always welcome more!

When he's not at Holy Trinity, Bob is the proud father of Christianna and Roman and husband to Dasha, Holy Trinity's Sunday School principal. He is Executive Group Director for Avrett Free Ginsberg, a Manhattan based Advertising Agency. Bob hold a B.S. degree from SUNY Albany NY.
